PDSL HR Strategy
Success through People

Ensure you have the right people in the right place at the right time. This means recruiting and selecting staff [internally and externally] whose profiles will lead to success in the role [Selecting People];

Provide your successful candidates with an outstanding welcome and introduction to your workplace , or in the case of an existing employee, to the new work environment [Welcoming People]

Agree realistic performance targets with your people and provide the support, resources and feedback, both informal and formal, to enable them to achieve and exceed their goals [Managing People]

Focus on "how" your people perform their jobs as well as "what" they do. Prepare individual development plans that enable them to jump shift from an on target performance to above target; and from above target to outstanding.
[Developing People]

So what happens when your people achieve or exceed their targets - you recognise and/or reward them of course . . . so they feel good about themselves and are motivated to repeat or even exceed past performances

And of course you will need to pull it all together with a plan that links your people resources with your business planning

A foundation of good employee communications is essential for leveraging any successful HR strategy. Regular, face-to-face communications to people in their teams, by their team leader, is one part of the equation; linked staff newsletters is another. And really listening to your people through a simple but powerful staff survey [Team Survey], followed by feedback sessions and action plan workshops on the results [Team Feedback] completes the picture.
