Step 4
Preparing Development Plans
While constructive discussion and agreement of development needs is important
to make things happen they need to be formulated into an action plan. The
development plan is a consolidation of the key outcomes of the developing
people preparation and discussions and is prepared in terms of outcomes to
enhance the execution of the plan.
Step 3
Agreeing Profiles
The key to the success of the Developing People process lies in its emphasis
on consultation which is the key principle for obtaining agreement on profiles
by the parties.
Step 2
Feedback & Discussion
Relationship building discussions that result in powerful, behaviour-changing
feedback for building performance along with useful formats for capturing
the discussion outcomes are the key focus of step 2.
Step 1
Assessing Strength & Needs
Establishing and assessing competency profiles using practical user-friendly
templates and guidelines for undertaking constructive, motivating assessments
form the foundation of this step.
